Actually it was the Saturday before St Pats Day, which is Monday. We went into town to see the parade, which lasted over an hour, without one, single, high school band, but there were two bagpipe bands. There was also a one mile run before the parade, which was won in a very quick, 4:24, which earned the winner $75.00. After the parade we spent the entire afternoon at a festival listening to Irish music, watching Irish dancers, eating, drinking, and people watching.
