December 12-16 in Mission Bay

This is just a photo "journal" of seven fun days in San Diego/Mission Bay!

Christmas decorations California style!

Riding on the bike trail along Mission Bay, we saw this Christmas tree on the beach.

Looking across Mission Bay

Mission Beach Christmas tree

Climbing on the rocks at Mission Beach

The rocks at Mission Beach - our son had recommended that we come here to watch the sunset!  So glad he told us about this!

When the sun started to set, the tide was starting to come in and crash up against our rocks

Moon over palm tree

Before the Ocean Beach Christmas parade was the mile races.  This was the last - the Santa race!!  Everyone dressed like Santa, elves and even reindeer!

Leading off the parade - check out the guy in the Santa hat and the beach style Christmas shirt!!

Old police car - they also had their old paddy wagon!

We weren't quite sure what this was all about!

You see alot of old trucks out in California

This was a really fancy Chinese wagon drawn by three frisky horses!

This wagon was beautiful!

The San Diego Padre

Street acrobats

And of course some "bad ass" cowboys

Gotta love this dog!!

And whats a California Christmas parade without a bicycle pulling a surfboard?!

Old car dressed up as a reindeer

And Santa arrives on a fire truck!

These were at the Christmas tree stand, but these two were cut to look like palm trees!  Only in California!

Sunsets are beautiful here
