Two days in Flagstaff, April 24, 25

Wednesday was a day off from the bike, and Pam and I walked historic downtown Flagstaff, including shoe and backpack shopping at Peace Surplus Inc, a great outdoor place, checking out a great bike shop, lunch at an outdoor patio at Flagstaff Brewing Co., and general browsing of the downtown area. On Thursday, Pam needed to do some running around, so I did a loop around the outskirts of Flagstaff, just to check out a fantastic riding town. Bike lanes everywhere, polite drivers, easy navigation. Mt Humphrey, ( over 12,000 ft and snow capped), and a few other peaks stand to the north, so it made it very simple to always know where I was. I spent quite a bit of time cruising around Northern Arizona University, checking out their indoor football dome ( they play in the Big Sky Conference), and their beautiful outdoor track, where practice was in session. We met in downtown Flagstaff when Pam was done running around, and ate at a place called Busters.

All Arizona water runs south, the divide just determines what goes southeast and what goes southwest.

We are getting closer to California!
